How It Works

  1. Browser Extension detects what's playing
  2. Sends to Rastry servers in real-time
  3. Overlay updates automatically on stream

This is the same technology used by Rastry Music. The overlay displays what the extension detects.

Setup

Install Browser Extension

Download from:

Configure Extension

  1. Click the extension icon
  2. Login with Twitch
  3. Ensure detection is ON

Get Overlay URL

  1. Go to your music overlay config page:

  2. Login with Twitch

  3. Copy your unique overlay URL (includes a security token)

Your URL will look like:

https://www.rastry.com/overlay/music/spotify/display?token=abc123...

Add to OBS

  1. Add Browser Source in OBS
  2. Paste your overlay URL
  3. Set size: 1920 x 1080 recommended
  4. Position in corner of stream

Overlay Configuration Pages

Each music service has its own configuration page:

ServiceConfiguration Page
Spotifyrastry.com/overlay/music/spotify (opens in a new tab)
Apple Musicrastry.com/overlay/music/apple (opens in a new tab)
YouTube Musicrastry.com/overlay/music/youtube (opens in a new tab)
SoundCloudrastry.com/overlay/music/soundcloud (opens in a new tab)

Each config page generates a unique URL with token for your overlay. The URL is secure and only works for your channel.
