Setup Guide
How It Works
Follow these steps to set up RastryControl:
1. Install RastryControl
Download and install RastryControl on your streaming PC from here (opens in a new tab)
2. Connect to OBS
Configure OBS WebSocket connection (port 4455):
- Open OBS Studio
- Go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings
- Enable WebSocket Server
- Set port to 4455 (default)
- No password needed
3. Generate ShareCode
- Open RastryControl
- Click "Generate ShareCode"
- A 6-character code will be generated
- Share this code with trusted users
4. Access Remotely
You can access OBS control in two ways:
- Via Browser: Paste the URL
https://www.rastry.com/obs/control/[code]directly in your browser's address bar - Via Program: Open RastryControl program and paste the same URL
Both methods use the same URL format with your ShareCode included. Moderators/Editors can access using either method.
5. Control Everything
You can now control:
- Scenes - Switch between scenes
- Sources - Toggle visibility and adjust properties
- Audio - Control volume and mute/unmute
- Recording/Streaming - Start/stop recordings and streams
- And more
Troubleshooting
Having issues? Check these common solutions:
- Can't connect to OBS: Ensure OBS WebSocket is enabled on port 4455
- ShareCode not working: Try regenerating the code
- Program not responding: Try closing and reopening RastryControl
- Slow response: Verify your internet connection
