Stream Overlay
Display your pet on stream with the 2D overlay system!
Overview
The pet overlay shows a 2D animated cat that walks across your stream when triggered by:
- New followers
- Subscriptions (new, resub, gift)
- Bits cheered (above minimum threshold)
- Polls started
Setup
Go to Configuration Page
Visit rastry.com/overlay/pets (opens in a new tab) and login with Twitch.
Get Your Overlay URL
Your unique overlay URL:
https://www.rastry.com/overlay/pets/display?token=YOUR_UNIQUE_TOKENAdd to OBS
- Open OBS Studio
- Add new Browser Source
- Paste your overlay URL
- Set dimensions: 1920 x 1080
- The pet will walk across the screen when events trigger
Overlay Settings
Configure on the Pet Overlay page (opens in a new tab):

Pet Reactions
When enabled, your overlay pet walks across the screen on these events:

| Bits Cheered | Bits above minimum threshold |
| Poll Started | A poll begins in your channel |
Requires Twitch EventSub connection. Connect on the overlay configuration page.
Cat Types
The 2D overlay uses cat sprites. Choose your style:

| Grey | Grey tabby |
| Egyptian | Sphynx style |
| Maine Coon | Fluffy long-haired |
| Ragdoll | Blue-eyed ragdoll |

| Tigger | Tiger stripes |
| White Ragdoll | White fluffy |
All cat types are free! Change anytime on the configuration page.
Browser Source Settings
Recommended OBS settings for the pet overlay:

Troubleshooting
Pet Not Showing
- Verify URL is correct with your username
- Check browser source is visible (eye icon)
- Ensure overlay is enabled in settings
Pet Not Reacting
- Check "Enable Reactions" is ON
- Verify Twitch integration is connected
- Refresh the browser source
Performance Issues
- Enable "Shutdown when not visible"
- Reduce OBS browser source FPS to 30
- Check internet connection
Multiple Overlays
You can use the same overlay URL on different scenes - the pet appears when triggered.
Testing
Test your overlay from the configuration page:
- Go to rastry.com/overlay/pets (opens in a new tab)
- Click Test Pet Walk
- Watch the pet walk in the preview and OBS
